A practical workshop in Stage Combat techniques for stage and screen with The Actors' Program tutor Alexander Holloway.

More often stage combat techniques are needed by actors for stage and screen. Actors will learn skills and confidence in un-armed combat situations and with a variety of weapons including short sword and knife.

Alexander Holloway trained and graduated with a degree in acting and stage combat from East15 drama school in England. Graduating top of his class by getting straight distinctions he started work in the west end, both being in and choreographing shows. He has just finished productions at the Pop Up Globe (core cast in Twelfth Night and Romeo & Juliet and choreographer for numerous Pop Up Globe Shakespeare productions).

Credits include: resident fighter for the Royal Opera House, Choreographer for over 10 shows in London, Royal command performance for the United Arab Emirates royal family , numerous feature film credits (including Top dog, Green Street 3 etc) 

Since recently moving to New Zealand Alex is now head of stage combat at Auckland Academy of Dance and works with Auckland Theatre Company, TAPAC, The Actors’ Program, Sky City Theatre and runs school combat workshops.
